That’s what I have told myself in the last two off-seasons as I put together any prospects list.
I’ve been burned by them before and wanted to try and avoid them at all costs.
Looking at the bigger picture, relievers at the major league level can be some of the most unpredictable players from year to year, so why wouldn’t that be the case for someone pitching in Low-A Bradenton?
Now and again, though, relievers pitch in the lower levels that catch your eye and make you think, ‘Yeah, that stuff is for real.’
Brandan Bidois struck out over 40% of the batters he faced last year in just over 20 innings pitched with the Bradenton Marauders.
