Overview

Beeck was ranked 157th among draft prospects by Baseball America in 2018 but wasn’t selected. At the time, BA stated he threw 88-91 mph with an average slider. When the Dodgers drafted him in 2022, BA did not rank him, stating that he had an average fastball and slider, and below average change and command. In college, he compiled a 3.33 ERA over three seasons, with a 4.5 BB/9 and 13.4 K/9, mostly pitching in relief. In the minors, he’s mostly had good K rates with some control problems. The Pirates acquired Beeck in the minor league phase of the 2025 Rule 5 draft.

2023-24

In 2023, Beeck appeared in three games in the Arizona Complex League, then made 20 relief appearances in low A, in the high-offense California League. He had a rough time there, with a 1.84 WHIP and 7.43 ERA.

The Dodgers moved Beeck up to high A in 2024 and he had a very strong season, posting a 2.85 ERA. In 60 innings, he walked 23 and fanned 67.

2025

Neeck went to AA in 2025 and had trouble with walks and gopher balls, finished with an ERA of 5.40. In 46.2 IP, he walked 35 and allowed eight home runs. His K/9 dropped to 8.7.
