Overview
Sanders played four sports in prep school, including baseball. He also played for Great Lakes Canadians U17 team. Perfect Game rated him 73rd among prospects in Ontario. He wasn’t drafted and committed to Niagara University, but the Pirates signed him to a minor league contract in January 2025. Sanders has good size and the potential to hit for power. He also has very good speed and currently plays center field.
The Pirates assigned Sanders initially to Indianapolis, but it was probably a paper move. He’ll most likely open 2025 in the FCL.
