Gameday 107: Pirates Look For Two-Game Sweep Against Tigers
After winning on Tuesday, the Pirates look for their third straight series victory.
A strong pitching performance by Johan Oviedo and a couple of timely hits by a pair of rookies have the Pirates not only on the verge of a two-game sweep of the Detroit Tigers, but also their third straight series victory.
Liover Peguero hit his third home run of the season, and Endy Rodriguez picked up a RBI triple as the Pirates defeated the Tigers 4-1. Oviedo registered his fifth win of the season, pitching seven innings of one run bases, striking out five, with David Bednar closing the door and earning his 22nd save.
