Gameday 112: Pirates begin three game series at home against Padres
Bailey Falter on the mound for the Pirates
After a day off, the Pirates are set to play six of their next nine games against the San Diego Padres. These next three games will be at home. Then, they will head to Los Angeles to face the Dodgers before facing the Padres again, but on the road.
The Pirates had an opportunity to take two of three against the Arizona Diamondbacks but blew another late-inning lead.
Colin Holderman gave up a three-run home run in the seventh inning, his third straight game where he gave up the lead.
Bailey Falter will look to get the Pirates back on track and will be opposed by Dylan Cease, who threw a no-hitter two starts ago against the Nationals.
