Gameday 136: Pirates Look To Continue Winning Streak In Game Two Versus St. Louis
The Pirates have won four games in a row, with two m ore games against the St. Louis Cardinals on this road trip.
The Pittsburgh Pirates picked up their fourth win in a row, and continued their strong play against their divisional rival, the St. Louis Cardinals.
It took extra-innings, but Colin Selby picked up his second win of the season, with David Bednar getting his 30th save. Mitch Keller struck out eight across six one-run innings, with the bullpen going the rest of the way allowing just an unearned run in the process.
Liover Peguero picked up a pair of hits, scoring two runs on the game as well. Despite missing a good chunk of playing time, Ji-Hwan Bae is now at 22 stolen bases on the season.
The Pirates will send Thomas Hatch out on the mound to start the game against Drew Rom, who made his major league debut against Pittsburgh on August 21.
