Gameday 150: Pirates head to St. Louis for series against Cardinals
Paul Skenes vs Andre Pallante
The Pirates hope for a performance similar to the last time Paul Skenes pitched in St. Louis. Skenes struck out eight in 6.1 shutout innings, although he picked up a no-decision in the start.
After avoiding a series sweep against the Royals over the weekend, the Pirates head to St. Louis to face their divisional opponent one last time this season.
Pittsburgh has won just four of the 10 games they’ve played against the Cardinals this year.
Skenes will face Andre Pallante, who has pitched against the Pirates twice in 2024. He has combined to allow just two earned runs in 13 innings pitched.
Game one has an expected start time of 7:45 pm ET.

Yorke coming up.
Quite a feat, to put together a team that's unwatchable even with Paul Skenes on the mound.
