Gameday 153: Pirates look to take two in a row against the Cubs
Looking for their first winning streak against Chicago this season.
The Pirates won just their second game of the season against the Chicago Cubs on Wednesday, and will now go for a series victory against the NL Central rival.
Mitch Keller wasn’t great, but the bullpen was able to slam the door and get him his 13th win of the season in start he also broke the 200 strikeout mark on the year.
The offense was able to chase Cy Young candidate in the fourth inning, and was able to extend things out a little further to give David Bednar the night off.
Kyle Hendricks and Johan Oviedo will get the call for their respective teams that will face each other for the last time this season.
The Pirates will head to Cincinnati after this to face the Reds in a weekend series.
First pitch is expected at 7:40 pm ET.

So the Cubs' manager says, after the game, "That is not a good team that took 2 out of 3 from us--- at least not a high caliber team."
He's not allowed to say that to our recruits. Only we can say that to our recruits. Is there an unwritten rule or something that the Cubs manager has to be an obnoxious jerk? Sure seems that way.
