Gameday 16: Pirates look to avoid a sweep against the Reds

For the third time (out of four series), the Pittsburgh Pirates will look to avoid a sweep this season. They’ve managed to pull away with a win the first two times, but must go through Hunter Greene to do it a third time.

Elly De La Cruz hit a grand slam for the Reds, leading them to a 5-2 win. Alexander Canario hit his first home run of the season. Enmanuel Valdez would double home Canario later on.

A miscue during a routine double play allowed the fifth run to score for the Reds. Carmen Mlodzinski, who pitched five wins and picked up the win on Monday, will get the start for the Pirates.

First pitch is scheduled for 1:40 pm ET.
