Gameday 162: Pirates have a chance at a sweep and beat last year's win total
Bailey Falter vs Clarke Schmidt
After taking the first two games of the series, the Pittsburgh Pirates can close out the season on a strong note, potentially with a sweep that would give them one more win than they had in 2023.
The offense has hit eight home runs in the first two games of the series, and Mike Burrows picked up his first major league win in his first appearance on Saturday.
Bailey Falter will look to close out his season on a strong note as he gets the start for the Pirates.
First pitch is scheduled for 3:05 pm ET.

IKF sitting today. According to Ethan he was 4 PA away from a $250,000 bonus.
Peguero, Cook, and Yorke in the lineup so I won’t complain too much.
But you definitely could have started him over Triolo.
Edit: To be fair. The Pirates wouldn’t be on the hook for the entire $250,000, as it would be split between them and the Blue Jays.
Another edit: All the beat guys reporting that IKF was given the option to play today but turned it down so the younger guys could play
Just popped in to wish all y'all a great off-season. Will be checking back periodically to freak out on rule V, etc., but mostly this is it for me for the year.
