Gameday 2: After extra-innings victory, Martin Perez makes Pirates debut
Lefty Perez makes Pirates debut on Friday.
The bullpen came in and bailed Mitch Keller out, who didn’t have his best outing. The Pirates came from behind to defeat the Miami Marlins 6-5 in extra innings.
Six relievers combined to shut out the Marlins after Keller allowed five runs (four earned) in 6.2 innings.
The offense hit three home runs—Oneil Cruz, Edward Olivares, and Bryan Reynolds—and scored the final four runs of the night to eventually win.
Jared Triolo hit an RBI single in the 12th inning to give the Pirates the win.
One of their free agent acquisitions this off-season, Martin Perez, will make his Pirates debut on Friday.
He will be opposed by AJ Puk, who is making the transition back to being a starting pitcher.
First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 pm ET.

Todays Feature
WTM breaks down the Opening Day roster for the Indianapolis Indians, whose season gets started on Friday.
I'm far more hopeful about Marty than Marco or Falter, but I have a feeling his starts are gonna be nerve-wracking.
Going to judge very harshly whoever the Pirates end up getting as the PTBNL. Woke up from my pregame nap and seen the trade lol
