Gameday 40: Pirates look to clinch series win against Braves
Andrew Heaney vs AJ Smith-Shawver
Don Kelly picked up his first win as a manager, as the Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Atlanta Braves 3-2 at PNC Park.
Things got dicey at the end, as Dennis Santana allowed two runs in the ninth, but the Pirates got out of there with a win.
Jared Triolo and Alexander Canario hit home runs for the Pirates, with Andrew McCutchen also picking up a double.
Andrew Heaney gets the start for the Pirates, looking to bounce back from a couple of tough starts.
AJ Smith-Shawver draws the start for the Braves. First pitch is scheduled for 4:05 pm ET.

Another day in the books, and two more games checked out while I am in Bradenton. There was plenty to digest over the two games, with a few players making their debut with the organization, and Konnor Griffin had a big day at the plate.

Seems like they need to give Rainey some leverage opps. Don’t know how it’ll work out, but they have to expand that part of the pen and he looks good so far.
Still nobody in the clown show can bunt.
