Gameday 44: Pirates look for series win against Milwaukee Brewers
Day game with Martin Perez on the mound
The Pirates’ offense slipped back into bad habits, only registering three hits on the night, although two of them were home runs, and they eventually lost to the Milwaukee Brewers by the score of 4-3.
Nick Gonzales and Connor Joe hit home runs for the Pirates, and outside of a rough second inning, Quinn Priester was solid on the mound. All four runs he allowed came in that frame, pitching six innings overall.
They will look to wrap up their three-game series on the road with the Brewers with a day game at 1:10 pm ET. Martin Perez is expected to get the start for the Pirates, with Robert Gasser set to make his second career major league start.
