Gameday 56: Mike burrows makes second start as Pirates look to rebound
Mike Burrows vs Corbin Burnes
The Pittsburgh Pirates dropped the first of three against the Arizona Diamondbacks, 5-0. Alexander Canario and Adam Frazier recorded a pair of hits, with the offense generating six in total.
Andrew Heaney allowed five earned runs on eight hits and three walks over five innings. Braxton Ashcraft made his major league debut pitching out of the bullpen. He struck out one while allowing two hits and a walk.
It gave the bullpen a much-needed day off, as the Pirates are towards the back-end of 13 games in a row.
Mike Burrows will make his second start of the season. He allowed four earned runs over five innings in his first time out. The Diamondbacks will send out Corbin Burnes to the mound.
