Gameday 7: Pirates look to avoid sweep with Paul Skenes on the mound
Paul Skeens vs Ryan Pepiot
The Pittsburgh Pirates dropped to 1-5 on the season after getting shut out by the Tampa Bay Rays 7-0 on Tuesday. They now face getting swept, but do have Paul Skenes on the mound, making his second start of the season.
Thomas Harrington had a less-than-ideal major league debut, allowing six runs on seven hits and four walks over four innings pitched. The offense picked up nine hits, but couldn’t get a runner home.
This will be the last of a seven-game road trip to start the season. They have Thursday off before their home opener on Friday against the New York Yankees.
Ryan Pepiot will look to complete the sweep for the Rays, who are 4-1 on the season. First pitch is scheduled for 1:10 pm ET.

Feel like it's a Pirates thing that they have a runner on third with no outs, only score once and it wasn't even the guy who had the lead off triple.
Borucki's been their best reliever, so naturally he should pitch to only one batter.
