Gameday 84: Pirates start homestand with series against Cardinals
Mitch Keller kicks series off for Pirates at home
After losing two of three against the Atlanta Braves over the weekend, the Pirates begin a seven-game homestand with a series versus the St. Louis Cardinals first up.
The last time the teams met, the Cardinals won two of three against the Pirates. Pittsburgh enters the series three games under .500 and three games back from the Cardinals for second place in the NL Central.
They are starting to fade a bit in the Wild Card picture, also three games out of a spot, but have a chance to gain some ground on a divisional opponent.
Mitch Keller will kick things off on Tuesday for the Pirates, while Kyle Gibson will get the start for the road team.
