Gameday 88: Pirates look to build on historic home run barrage
Offense looks to keep things rolling after hitting seven home runs
The Pittsburgh Pirates tied a franchise record with seven home runs hit on Friday, which included a pair of grand slams.
Bryan Reynolds and Rowdy Tellez hit a pair of home runs, and Michael A. Taylor collected four hits.
The offense was more than enough for Paul Skenes, who picked up his fifth win of the season in just 10 starts.
Bailey Falter will take the mound of the Pirates on Saturday in what will be a matchup of southpaws, as David Peterson will toe the rubber for the Mets.
The first pitch is expected at 4:05 pm ET.

Some good news: Ashcraft reinstated from IL.
Not a single pitch thrown for a strike. I brought this up before. A missed call in favor of the pitcher is significantly worse for the batter with only 3 strikes at their disposal. To miss 2 calls like we just saw is pretty much a guaranteed out. Horrible.
