Gameday: Pirates play doubleheader against Nationals
Pirates play a pair of games against Nationals
After Friday’s game was postponed, the Pirates and Nationals will play two on Saturday.
For now, the pitching matchup for the first game remains the same—Luis Ortiz for the Pirates and DJ Herz for the visiting Nationals. As mentioned in the original gameday article, Herz has pitched better than his record, and his ERA may initially show.
Ortiz is looking to build off getting a win his last time out, when he pitched six shutout innings.
Mitch Keller will take the ball in game two, with the Nationals expected to start another lefty, Mitchell Parker.
Game one is scheduled to begin at 1:35 p.m. ET, and the nightcap is now set for 6:40 p.m. ET.
