High-level approach has Termarr Johnson heading in right direction
After a slow start, Termarr Johnson finished the 2024 season at Double-A at 20.
Heralded as one of the best prep players to come through the draft in recent history, Termarr Johnson was placed right out of the gate with plenty of expectations.
It hasn’t always been easy, but the talent is undeniable. One of the few prep players, MLB Pipeline, gave a hit tool grade of 70, and Greensboro manager Blake Butler sees that skill set from Johnson.
“It’s rare to see someone at his age with such a high-level approach and a sense of forcing a pitcher into his zone,” Butler told me in Greensboro. “He’s continuing to learn who he is and where his hot zones are and where he can do the most damage.”
