Overview

Flores spent five years in the minors with the Giants, pitching as a reliever. There’s no information about his repertoire yet. He’s generally had a lot of trouble with walks, and has had good K rates at times. He appears to be a groundball pitcher. The Pirates obtained Flores in the minor league phase of the 2025 Rule 5 draft.

2021-23

Flores spent two seasons in the DSL. In 2021, he gave up just ten hits and fanned 25 in 18 innings, but he walked 17. In 2022, he allowed no earned runs, and just four walks and five hits, in 9.2 IP. He fanned 14.

In 2023, Flores spent the season in the Arizona Complex League. Walks remained a problem, as he issued 25 in 38.1 IP. He had a 4.23 ERA and 1.59 WHIP.

2024-25

Flores spent all of 2024 in the high-offense California League. He had a 6.9 BB/9 and 8.2 K/9. His ERA was 5.03 and his WHIP 1.73. He did keep the ball in the park, allowing just two home runs in 53.2 IP.

The 2025 season was largely lost for Flores. The Giants sent him back to low A and he walked nine in 8.2 IP, but after six outings he went on the injured list for nearly the rest of the season. He threw two innings in high A in September.
