Live Report: Connor Wietgrefe tosses four no-hit innings, Franck De La Rosa
Connor Wietgrefe makes his debut for the Grasshoppers on Saturday
The Greensboro Grasshoppers secured at least a series split against the Jersey Shore BlueClaws this week after winning on Saturday, 9-4.
Connor Wietgrefe, a 2024 draft pick, made his Greensboro debut after pitching in a rehab outing in Bradenton last week. He faced the minimum over four innings, with the only base runner reaching on an error committed by Wietgrefe. That runner was erased almost immediately with a double play.
Javier Rivas and Lonnie White Jr. hit home runs for the second straight day, and Enmanuel Terrero joined in with his first of the season.
