Morning Rundown: MiLB Preview - Week Ending 9/24
Final week of minor league baseball for the Pirates organization
Indianapolis Indians: 33-35 (Eliminated)
Opponent: Rochester (Nationals)
Team OPS: .744
OPS Rank: 19th of 20
Team ERA: 5.46
ERA Rank: 17th of 20
Quick Overview:
The Indianapolis Indians are the final affiliate still in play heading into their final week. They aren’t in the playoff hunt and will be facing a Washington Nationals Triple-A affiliate who also isn’t in contention. The one possible upside would be if the Nationals have a desire to get a handful of their Top 100 prospects feet wet in Triple-A, who just recently faced the Pirates Double-A squad: Dylan Crews, James Wood, and Brady House. Outside of that, a couple of the Pirates prospects may ascend to the majors for the final weeks of the MLB season, or may head to the Arizona Fall League which begins in two weeks.
