Morning Rundown: Pirates blow lead, lose to White Sox, Blanco makes Bradenton debut
Pirates lose against to White Sox, Blanco debuts for Bradenton
The Pittsburgh Pirates jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the fourth inning against the Chicago White Sox on Saturday. Mike Burrows pitched strongly, but allowed a pair of runs in his final frame of work, but Nick Gonzales padded the lead by one more.
Things imploded from there, as the White Sox scored eight runs in the sixth and seventh innings, beating the Pirates 10-4.
They can now go for a sweep on the road against the Pirates.
Oneil Cruz hit a laser triple to lead off the second, but no one was able to drive him home.
Bryan Reynolds and Nick Gonzales recorded three hits, Isiah Kiner-Falefa and Andrew McCutchen added two of their own as the Pirates managed 13 on the night, but 3-15 with runners in scoring position.
Andrew Heaney will get the start for the Pirates on Sunday, as they hope to avoid the sweep. Aaron Civale will pitch for the White Sox with a 1:35 pm ET start time.
After starting the year on the injured list, Tony Blanco Jr. made his Bradenton debut on Saturday, going 1-3 with an RBI off a sacrifice fly. He also reached base in the ninth after a fielding error by the center fielder, in which the ball was hit 112.4 mph off the bat.
He played in two games at the Complex before completing his rehab, going 1-6 with a home run and four strikeouts.
Pirates acquire aggressive, power-hitting shortstop in Cam Devanney
The Pittsburgh Pirates made the first of a few expected trades over the All-Star break, sending Adam Frazier to the Kansas City Royals in exchange for shortstop Cam Devanney.

I think the Morning Rundown headline should be shortened too just "Pirates blow!"
