Neat quotes from Santana in today's PG, and reinforces my hope that we re-sign Chapman:

“Aroldis Chapman has had a big influence on him in the two months or so that he’s been here,” Meccage said. “He has made a big impact on how he goes about his business from a day-to-day level, and that’s showing up on the field.”

Despite having played with a handful of other notable relievers, Santana said he has learned more from Chapman than anyone else. The two are frequently seen around the ballpark together before, during and after games.

"He's taught me everything,” Santana told the Post-Gazette. “His routine, I practice with him, go to the gym, work out, watching his confidence in the bullpen. He's always ready."

"He's the best example I could have,” Santana added later on. “The best thing that happened was me coming to the Pirates because I have him by my side. He was in the big leagues for years before I made it here. He's been here so long, so he must be doing something good."
