Morning Rundown: Spring training streaming schedule, bounceback candidates, Nick Yorke at first
How many spring training games will be streamed for the Pirates?
With spring training games getting closer, I looked at the MLB.TV page to see how many games will be televised this year for the Pirates.
Despite being on the road, their opening game against the Baltimore Orioles will be available on MLB.TV.
In total, it appears that eight spring games from the Pirates won’t be televised, including three at home in LECOM Park.
Here are the games right now that don’t have any scheduled stream:
February 25 vs Atlanta
February 26 vs Baltimore (they have a split-squad game that will be televised)
February 27 at Minnesota
February 28 vs Tampa Bay
March 6 at Baltimore
March 9 at Detroit
March 13 at Minnesota
March 19 at Tampa Bay
After an initial rough start to the streaming schedule, the number of games available to watch has remained fairly consistent.
Realistically, in the year 2025, every game should have some sort of broadcast at this point, even something basic if need be.
Nick Yorke is potentially joining the ‘family business’ and getting a shot at playing first base. He has two brothers who played/are playing college baseball, and each was a first baseman. He even got a glove from his brother, who plays at Grand Canyon University.
Greg Macafee had an article talking about the value of defensive versatility over on DK Pittsburgh Sports.
Take a look at yesterday’s feature where we discuss some bounceback candidates for the 2025 season, including left-handed pitcher Anthony Solometo.

It will also give access to my player feature articles from on-site trips.
We have monthly and yearly plans available, with the latter costing an average of $4.16/month.
Quite a day for pitchers in live BP. Skenes, Keller, Bednar, Bubba, Santana, Burrows, Borucki, Ferguson, Mayza, Strzelecki, Barco. Probably missed somebody. It’s like things got serious all of a sudden.
Literally the only guy I saw at 1B today was Hall. Coaches otherwise. Stewart was in RF. Hall has played by far the most there of anybody that I’ve seen. Dunno whether it means anything.
Some more FanGraphs fun today...
-Griffin gets a nod as a 2026 Pick to Click, as expected, but Omar Alfonso does as well. David Matoma also gets tagged as a 2-yr-out guy.
-ZiPS Top 100 includes Termarr all the way up #36. An indication that his production relative to age has actually been quite good.
