The Pirates promoted six players from the FCL team that went to the Championship series: Zander Mueth, Jhonny Severino, Yordany De Los Santos, Greiber Mendez, Clevari Tejada, and Noah Takacs.
Bradenton needed some extra pitchers, so they got four additional ones to use up some innings.
Tejada pitched six innings in his last regular-season start. Mendez has pitched some in Bradenton, and Mueth is among the team’s top prospects.
Severino and De Los Santos were two of the better offensive players in the FCL this season.
According to Jarrod Prugar, the Pittsburgh Pirates are promoting Thomas Harrington from Altoona to Triple-A Indianapolis.
Harrington, 23, has pitched in 13 games with Altoona this season, posting a 2.24 ERA (3.15 xFIP), striking out 74 batters while walking just 10 across 68.1 innings pitched.
Michael A. Taylor has hit a home run for the second straight day, and the Pirates can now go for the sweep against the Houston Astros on Wednesday.
Taylor has doubled his season home run output in a two-day span, Connor Joe picked up three hits, and the Pirates’ offense has been clicking the last three games (albeit with some slow starts in between).
Bailey Falter returned from the injured list and pitched 5.1 innings, allowing just two runs (one earned) while striking out three. The bullpen closed things out, with Dennis Santana, Kyle Nicolas, and Hunter Stratton having scoreless outings.
The Pirates traded four prospects off our Top 25 list during the deadline. We will update it shortly, including the draft picks and new system additions.

2023 draft paying huge dividends. Why couldn't it have been Jebb traded? lol
Good news about Harrington. Burrows is starting today for Indy. Be nice to see more immediate options built up. Too bad Barco is going on IL, but from watching it, it didn't look bad to me, just seemed to wrench his hip a bit.
