Observations from Pirates Florida Instructional League game
The work continues from Bradenton for some of the Pirates prospects.
One of the best things about baseball is that there are games all over the place, almost year round.
When it comes to the minor leagues, Triple-A is the only official regular season still being played, but that doesn’t mean there still isn’t baseball going on among the professional ranks.
The Florida Instructional League is going on, and the Pirates have played a couple of games already, with some of them being streamed through YouTube.
It’s a great opportunity for some players who maybe missed some time during the season to catch back up on the work before everyone goes their separate ways for the offseason.
Hunter Barco is among those on the roster, as well as a good amount of the 2023 draft picks.
Exclusively from the game on Thursday, here are some quick notes/thoughts from what I watched.
