Only one series makes it to deciding game three
Three of the four series in the Wild Card round ended after two games, with the Mets and Brewers the only teams playing a deciding third game. On Wednesday, the Detroit Tigers, Kansas City Royals, and San Diego Padres punched tickets to the Divisional Series.

Backed by home runs from Jackson Churio and Garrett Mitchell, the Brewers rallied and forced a game three with the New York Mets. Churio had two hits out of the lead-off spot for the Brewers, giving him multiple hits in both games.
