The Pirates are at the point where they have to make some bold decisions for the future. First would be prepping Konnor Griffin and Termarr Johnson to be our MI by mid-season. Second would be seeing Esmerlyn Valdez as the power hitter he has shown himself to be in the minors in 2025 and now in the AFL this Fall. Yes, the pitching is down this year in the AFL, but stepping up and being THE BEST hitter in the AFL should be taken seriously, and he should also be in AAA with KG and TJ to begin the 2026 season. There were also some promising bats at AA and we need to make sure they can get a good look also.

The WS is over and DEAD SILENCE from the Pirate Management

Silence is preferred over the usual lies, distortions and false promises they usually make.

There are no secrets about the ineptitude of the Pittsburgh Pirates nor are there any secrets about the amount of pitching the Pirates have and would be willing to offer to get at least one solid young LH or SW hitting OF to start in LF next year.

Therefore, why not be aggressive? Initiate the dialogue with teams that have what we want and need what we have. The Orioles have enough offense without adding Dylan Beavers to the lineup, but without adding a SP like Braxton Ashcraft, they are doomed to another season of failure. Both had strong 2025's, and both have less than a year of MLB Service, therefore both with 6 years of control.
