Spring Training Gameday 20: Pirates play Orioles with Spring Breakout night cap
Pirates play Orioles twice, one of which the first annual Spring Breakout game.
The Pirates hitters struck out 15 times, and the pitchers gave out 10 free passes, collectively resulting in a 10-3 loss to the Blue Jays in Dunedin.
Roansy Contreras’ control issues continued, and he now has 10 walks in 10.2 innings pitched. On the plus side, Oneil Cruz hit his fourth home run of the Spring, and four other players picked up doubles.
Marco Gonzales will take the mound for the Pirates for the traditional Spring Training game and will be opposed by Grayson Rodriguez.
We will have lineups for the Breakout game when they become available as well.
The first game is expected to start around 3:05 p.m. ET, with the Spring Breakout starting at approximately 7:05 p.m. ET.

Yesterday’s Feature
I took a look at some of the NRI who have been pushing for a potential roster spot come Opening Day.
Oneil Cruz is gonna break out with a swing rate so low you'll pee yourselves and I promise to be here rubbin yer noses innit while wearing my Andy Haines 2024 shirt.
I like what I’m seeing from Barco, great change and hitting 95!
