Coming up as a catching prospect may be the most challenging position to develop. While others can focus on their game, hitting and on the field, there are several added factors that catchers have to keep in mind.

It is arguably the one position where the defense still comes before the bat. They also have to spend a good chunk of their time working with the pitchers, helping them, and formulating a game plan for the upcoming game.
