Don’t look now, but KG’s OPS is .900.

Bishop’s at 1.188. Early, yes, but this isn’t the guy I’ve been watching for years.

Oh, and Maguire ditched the porn stache. Walked right past me and I didn’t recognize him.

He looks so different at the plate. Confident. Just better (Bishop).

Not where I can watch, has Bishop lost the hitch in his swing. If it comes together on his hit tool, he'd be one of the better outfield prospects in the organization. Hopefully White's hit tool comes along as well.

Did we ever find out why Konnor G was not in the lineup yesterday? If it was not for an injury the I find that just bizarre.

He had played in every game this season so far. There was going to be a day off coming at some point

I guess? They have only played 8 games! You think you would put him in the lineup after his best pro game this early in the season. Doesn’t make sense to me.

And he already has a double today, so I don't think the off day hurt his momentum. Days off will happen. He's still on pace for like 120 games.

I’m not going to over argue this point because it is only 1 game and, yes, he will get other days off, but to WTM’s point below. Severino homered and is sitting today. I mean…I think I have a pretty good bead on human nature and the development of players is a form of human development. These are not make or break issues but the Pirates have NOT been successful in developing position players so strange little things like this catch my attention .I’m not there so it could be perfectly reasonable but the organization has not inspired confidence.

Yeah, if this isn't the Pirates, no one has an issue at all. This happens with other teams. Jesus Made, the Brewers' top prospect, had a good game and then sat the next day.

But they have a track record, so no one thinks of it.

Severino is another funny situation, because I can see why he's sitting today (he's played the first five games this week) but then again he finally did something positive so maybe you just slide him in there anyways, especially with a day off tomorrow.

If he homered for the Brewers and sits, nothing is said. But the Pirates do little stuff all the time to shoot themselves in the foot so it's natural to believe because they are doing it, it's wrong.

Moral of the story, Pirates put themselves in this position to have every move they make questioned and until things improve they are deserving of getting called out each and every time.

Yep. Because this is the Pirates, people will get their undies in a wad.

“Doesn’t make sense”

You’ve discovered their secret formula!

As I mentioned to AM, Severino hit his first HR yesterday, so of course he’s sitting today.
