This content is so cool! Love that we can get these batted ball metrics, and termarr really does look like a true standout with stuff like this, definitely makes me worry much less about early season noise
I love putting the analytical articles together. Trying to find a way to have them presented a little better than anyone (probably paid subscribers so they have an added perk) can pull up and take a look at. Probably something to work on during the offseason.
90th percentile adds a little consistency to exit velocity readings because it kind of takes out the outliers that can mess up the data a bit. So where Terrero had a bunch of 30s in his EV due to bunts and what not, 90th doesn't punish him as much. Or if Polanco had one go 120, but then averaged 88 the rest of the way, it doesn't reward him as much for the 120 because it was an outlier
Termarr obviously is the guy. I think Yordany and Lonnie are going to be good. Think at this point, Bradenton is mostly high upside guys. They all could be good. They will need that right push when the step up in competition comes, which I feel like is where a lot of prospects are getting stuck.
I think if he can cut back on the strikeouts, Polanco is showing the kind of power and defense in center that could make him a top 100 prospect. But he's gotta cut down on the strikeouts.
‘Gotta cut down on those strikeouts’. You could say that about most of our hitting prospects, unfortunately.
When you see our hitting prospects at AA and especially AAA, it is good to know that we have some high upside guys coming up. Polanco sounds like he is on the Gorski path, tho. True CFer with power who can’t make consistent contact. :(
I’ll have to pay more attention to Yordwny now. Thx.

Would be a huge fan of this!
What does 90th percentile mean? I get the rest of them.
And, other than Termarr, with all of this data, who should we get excited about? Do we really have that many good hitters at Bradenton?
Thx

So what about my second question? 😎😎😎

Okay. I see that, basically it is counting 90% of his hits. Never knew that, but now K do. Thx.
