Alika is one of the good guys. Besides that, I thought had the ability to be a serviceable utility guy if he could ever get his bat going. While the Pirates kept adding middle infielder, you could see this coming a mile away.
I don’t really know that I like Frazier anymore than alika but I guess gives us a left handed hitting infielder to give some balance? I don’t actually believe that but I think Mayza is a fine addition and nothing lost with alika going
Sound logic behind the Rynders pick--HS kid from a northern state. And wouldn't it be great to have a Milwaukee kid develop into a contributor at the MLB level? But I also would guess, as Anthony says, that it's a year too soon.
How about Carlos Caro who played most of the season at second base in the FCL last year. A slash of 305/410/443/853 OPS. Promoted to Bradenton late in the year for only 23 AB, .594 OPS. Excellent in the field and provides an excellent glove at 2B where he fielded 971 at both the FCL and A Ball. The IF of Caro at 2B, YDLS at SS, and Jhonny Severino at 3B could be one of the best defensive groups in our minor league system. At 1B I expect the Pirates will move Alfonzo and Plaz up to A+, and Tony Blanco will be the primary 1B at A with help from Catcher Richard Ramirez. The group at A ball are very special!
Alika dfa’d for Mayza.
Finally!! It took til Feb. 3......smh.

Liover up one more Peg on the depth chart
I like what you did there!
Anybody ever hear anything about a 4th option year for Peggy.

One less Floatsom?
Jettison the flotsam, or flottison the jetsam? I get them confused.
Are you drunk six hours ahead of us?
Not anymore. Now I'm drunk an hour behind you (assuming Eastern time).
You are assuming correctly. Enjoy the day.
Bunch of players dfa’d today. BC is gonna be on the prowl.
Magdiel Cotto is my pick
or Inmer Lobo
is this the bit where we make up names to see if anyone notices.
There's only one name that matters: Mercer. Jordy Mercer.
perennial loser
if it werent for mercer and taillon, we´d have won three championships with machado
Always liked the upside of that Rynders pick
Eddie Rynders is a bad ass name!
infielders taking gRynders before the first pitch of the inning, no?
Fitting for the 3 rivers.
Only until we draft Kruz Schoolcraft.
I think I asked about him before, but wasn't Esmerlyn Valdez getting some buzz last year? Close on the list of breakout dudes for any of you?
He was on my original pick. Decided to go with someone a little further down. Valdez is definitely going to be mentioned at some point this week
Thanks to both of you for the response!
He's going to come up at some point this week. He's kinda always on the edge.

Yea I’m feeling it might be a bit early but a breakout certainly coming at some point I feel like
I'm waiting for Brennan Malone to break out. Not in acne FYI.
I also continue for some reason to hold out hope for Shalin, Hudson, and Sammy. Love a new baseball season to hope.
Well, he broke. Does that count?
That about Stridex pads it up. Thanks
35 innings in 4 years, I would agree
Is there any reports on Rynders defensive abilities?
Not much, just that he wasn't likely to stay at short.
I like all these picks for breakout. I wasn’t aware of McMillans dominance at high A but with that he start at AA. He’s got the build.
