A common name where I live now is Craps. There is a Craps tire store. Drive by a headstone also with it on it. Some people spell it Kraps. But we all know it is pronounced the same way.
I want the Marauders to do a jersey auction with the players actual names on the back soooooo bad, then for him to change his number to #2 just for that jersey
Intrigue, mostly, at this point. I’m guessing we’re looking at a couple months in the FCL as he regains his form, which we don’t know a lot about yet anyway. He LOOKS like a pitcher, fwiw.
Interesting contrast with Barco, who seems totally ready to go. Fellows apparently had a rougher road. He missed most of a year and a half before TJ, then a half year longer than Barco afterward. They’re two guys to watch, at least. Fingers crossed as to health.
At least from what I saw of Barco in college, he should be able to breeze through to Double-A quite easily. Breaking and offspeed stuff consistently fooled even the best college hitters.
Speaking of having high hope for a player, one I will randomly think about is Gage Hinsz. I thought he was going to make it, but he just couldn’t stay on the field.

About as good as you’re gonna do for a 1B with a 99 wRC+.
Yeah. I am happy with it. Now he can help the Crew score 12 on the Bucs next time they play. In a game. Not a series.

Now I know who this username corresponds to lol
:)
Sharts has to have one of the toughest last names out there. Gives me a bit of a chuckle most every time that I see his name in the box score

Having the name Sharts is rough, having a 7.85 ERA doesn’t help the situation either
I think theres a joke out there about sharting the bed
Brings to mind the greatest commercial in commercials history:

Damn Kmarts. You just never progressed past 1992. I was associate number 72 throughout high school and some of college.

Not sure how I’ve never seen this but thank you for it 😂
Would be right there if he blew that save lol
Also love the under-appreciated good pickoff move, could be important as base stealing is making a comeback
Ah yes, I was hoping for WTM authorship here! What do we think fellows could be? Seems like theres intrigue to him at least

TJ has such an improved success rate these days, but its still wild to me how much of a different path each player can take on recovery
Some guys don’t make it. Nick Kingham, for instance.
I had such hope for him... until I didnt lol

Blake Cederlind was another.
nice snagglepuss reference
