In the main portion of the Rule 5, I would take:

Dom Hamel(RHSP, NYM),

Miguel Ullola(RHSP, HOU),

Mike Vasil(RHSP, NYM),

Griff McGarry(RHSP, PHILLY) ,

Taylor Dollard(RHSP, SEA),

Coleman Crow(RHSP, MIL),

Andrew Mango(LHRP, DET),

Rhett Kouba(RHSP, HOU),

Alec Gamboa(LHRP, LAD)

...in that order!!

With other organizations having more competitive rosters is there any insight on who may be available for selecting by the Pirates organization?

One guy who will be available as a minor league free agent is Wilkin Ramos. Remember him... . It would be nice to get him back and plug him in at AAA and have him available as a depth reliever.

I agree about not getting worked up about the Rule 5 when we have so many other extremely important considerations- such as our MANAGER. He should be gone and my choice would be our Bench Coach, Don Kelly, 44, who played in the Majors for around 7 years, many of them with Detroit under the Managership of Jim Leyland. Born and bred locally (Butler, Mt Lebo, Point Park).

5 years of failure on the part of Derek Shelton should have been more than enough to see him fired this off-season, but BC wants/needs that puppet on a string that he can control. Nutting needed to set it straight after this season ended no better than last season, after adding Oneil Cruz, Rookie of the Year Paul Skenes, and also Rotation piece Jared Jones. The only way the Pirates win in 2025 is if they do so in spite of Shelton. If BC wants to keep him, then he needs to find 3 BALLPLAYER/HITTERS to add to the small core group we already have at the MLB level. Start with Santander, if he has not already been signed.

Good to see something thorough on a subject that gets almost no attention elsewhere, even from BA.
