Gameday 110: Mitch Keller looks to help Pirates bounce back after rough loss
Pirates came back, and then blew lead late on Friday
Before an out recorded in the game, the Arizona Diamondbacks found themselves up 4-0 on the road in Pittsburgh.
The Pirates fought their way back, eventually taking the lead, but couldn’t hold it and dropped the first of three this weekend.
Oneil Cruz had a career-high five hits on the night, including a double, two RBI, and a stolen base. It was a great night to put that Houston series to rest, where he struggled mightily in the field and at the plate.
Turning to Saturday, the Pirates will send Mitch Keller to the mound, as he aims for his 11th win of the season. He will be opposed by left-handed pitcher Jordan Montgomery.
First pitch is expected at 6:40 pm ET.
