Gameday 111: Pirates Look For Series Split With Johan Oviedo On The Mound
With Johan Oviedo on the mound, the Pirates look to get a series sweep against the Milwaukee Brewers.
It was a rough night for the Pittsburgh Pirates, as they headed into the ninth with a chance to take a 2-1 series lead in a place they don’t have much success at.
By time it was all said and done, they will have to win Sunday’s afternoon game in order to avoid dropping three of four in Milwaukee.
Jason Delay’s two run double was the lone bit of offense the Pirates generated, and despite strong pitching debuts from Bailey Falter and Andre Jackson, the bullpen couldn’t hold a late lead.
Johan Oviedo looks to make it back-to-back strong outings, after allowing just one earned run over six innings against the San Diego Padres.
