The Pittsburgh Pirates are looking to avoid a sweep in the second consecutive series with a Sunday afternoon game against the Los Angeles Dodgers on the West Coast.
Paul Skenes allowed four runs across six innings on Saturday, getting his second loss of the season. Ke’Bryan Hayes hit his first home run since June, providing the only run on the night scored by the offense.

When Bednar came out for the 9th, I thought why not give Chapman a second inning since to win we knew we'd have to get through the 10th?
When Bednar came back out for the 10th, I thought Shelton is probably the only manager in baseball who would watch his struggling closer pitch a scoreless 9th and still bring him back out for the 10th.
Not saying I'm right, just that I really didn't like the way Shelton managed the 9th or 10th.
They're not even going to make a game out of one of these.
