Gameday 120: Bailey Falter Takes The Mound For Game Two Against Mets
After dropping the first of a three game set, the Pirates look to rebound with Bailey Falter on the mound.
Quinn Priester’s struggles on the mound continued, as he allowed at least one run in each inning he pitched, with the Mets scoring in a total of six frames across the eight they came to bat overall.
Ke’Bryan Hayes stayed hot, picking up another extra-base hit and run driven in. The rookie right-hander, and former first round pick, Priester allowed seven hits and three walks while surrendering six earned runs across five innings pitched.
His ERA jumped back over nine through 28.2 innings pitched.
The loss dropped the Pirates to 13 games under .500.

Here's a cautionary tale about StatCast:
According to Stumpf, Skenes threw nine fastballs, six sliders and one change. I'd guess that came from the Pirates, so it's probably authoritative.
According to StatCast, Skenes threw seven four-seamers and two sinkers (OK, nine fastballs), plus four sliders and three cutters.
