After a 10-game losing streak, the Pirates have made two of those back against the Mariners and now have an opportunity for a series sweep on Sunday.
Bailey Falter struck out eight in 5.2 innings pitched, while David Bednar picked up his 22nd save of the season.
Isiah Kiner-Falefa, Joey Bart, and Rowdy Tellez all had multiple hits. IKF hit his first home run as a Pirates, one of three total hits.
Jared Triolo and Rowdy Tellez also went deep for the Pirates.
The Pirates will have Jake Woodford on the mound, coming off six innings of one-run baseball in his last start. Seattle will have George Kirby on the mound as they try to salvage the series and avoid the sweep.
