The Pittsburgh Pirates will play three games against the Rangers on a quick road trip to Texas before returning home.
It’s a weird split up of a homestand, as they return to Pittsburgh immediately after for a four-game weekend series against the Cincinnati Reds.
After taking two of three against the Seattle Mariners, they will take on the defending World Series Champions, another AL West team. The Rangers have fallen on hard luck this year, with one less win than the Pirates currently have.
Luis Ortiz is set to pitch for the Pirates and will face Dane Dunning.

Part of me feels bad for Ryder Ryan.
Or happy for him for the vacation he can take with the frequent flyer miles he's probably picked up this year.
Not sure.
