I think Grandal really wanted to poke something down 3b line, but it didn't work. He's slow as hell, and Bart is no speedster, so anything on ground to right side is probably an easy DP.
I'm sitting here trying to eat Captain Crunch Peanut Butter and my 15 year old dog is just roasting me with her bad gas. Takes all the joy out of this peanut butter goodness. 😟
I haven’t paid close attention to the game, but Ortiz seems unable to keep the ball on the ground, can’t be a fly ball and pitch to contact guy and be successful.
and Rhys Hoskins is floating around replacement level.
honestly not sure how Santana is producing such a higher wOBA. Batting average and power are within .002 of last year and his walk rate is just 0.01% higher, yet his OBP is up 12 points?
Avoid those money-sucking lizards. I've had back issues since I was 14. I do PT when needed. I will only use a chiro for decompression when the stenosis gets bad, but never, ever manipulation.
Started the season with his hands about 6 inches above his head in the ready position. The last few AB I have seen, he has dropped his hands about 10 -12" in the ready position, thereby reducing much of the movement needed to get the bat to the ball. Still more head and therefore eye movement than many hitting coaches would prefer, but a helluva lot better than what he was earlier in the season.
Seager is proving me wrong, I never had him in the same SS class as Trea Turner, Correia, Lindor, Boegarts, Tatis. But he just keeps getting better.
Its fun to use the Bref compare tool on these guys, Seager pretty darn impressive for sure👍
Had never used that tool, thanks Ted!
It's a great tool!
I keep missing all the games you want to miss!
I can't watch even if I wanted to. Houston and Texas are blackouts for me.
Something something not enough offense. Lower it.
Beeks with a 1.29 era with the pirates so far
Bart singles with no one out, and Shelton makes no attempt to get him into scoring position. 😐

Man, I know relievers are a fickle bunch but very time I catch Denny Santana he deals. We might have caught lightening here.

It's bad enough when people blame the dog in front of live company, but to feel you've got to blame the dog in an online forum is pretty low.
lol
He who smelt it dealt it
No, I swear it's the dog. I take pride in my work!
Sounds like a good time to take the dog for a walk
She had a walk. Now she's tired and "relaxed." I just took her pic and set it as my profile pic. She is out.

Can’t repeatedly throw middle middle to Seager and be successful that’s for sure.
His velocity is good, control better than last couple appearances, 6 Ks in 6 IP.
Doesn't seem he's inviting contact. Seagar got him twice, but most of the flies haven't been hit all that hard.
Not a good recipe for success
Turned on the TV just in time to see rowdy get screwed. Damn.
I hope we are not still debating bringing Tellez back….
BTW just because it is fun and Santana wanted to come back here, he has 2.3 WAR for Twins.
so whats the plan for first base opening day in 2025?
and Rhys Hoskins is floating around replacement level.

Makes Hoskins half a win better than Rowdy.
Ortiz owns the 4th inning. Before tonight, only a .437 OPS against.
First inning owns Ortiz. 1.067 OPS against.
If Hayes is gonna be in the dugout, I want to see him hanging upside down like a bat.
i've been sucked into chiropractor youtube videos and based on that info alone i have the solution to his chronic back issues.

Tens unit is key…at least for me
Tri getting hot!

I'm afraid Ortiz's pitching luck has run out. He's been getting hammered the 2nd half.
Pitching his way back to long relief status? I still think that’s a decent role for him.
He has the Chuck Morton PGH problem
Gets blown up by tough lefties
Triolo has a perfect Hainesian AB. Chases two sliders out of the zone, then takes one in the zone.
Definitely totally not a skill issue
Andy is that you?
They gave McKinney a real uni number, Cervelli's. Guess they plan on having him stick around.
