Gameday 130: Pirates search for a series win against Reds with Luis Ortiz on the mound

Jake Woodford got beat up for the second straight start, and the offense was held mostly quiet, leading to a Pirates 10-2 loss against the Reds.

After putting together a few outings initially, Woodford hasn’t had much success in his last two starts.

He allowed eight runs (seven earned), in 3.1 innings pitched on Saturday. Rowdy Tellez hit his 11th home run of the season, and Oneil Cruz picked up his 29th double.

The Pirates look to take three of four against the Reds with Luis Ortiz on the mound. He’s pitched well lately, it’s been a few mistakes that has really costed him.

First pitch is expected at 1:35 pm ET.
