Good. Right or wrong, if he’s regressed, I think it’s worth seeing what he’s got at the upper level for the last three(?) weeks of the season.
Also, the top 10 of that 2022 draft is all over the board. Holliday looks like a star obviously and Brooks Lee looks pretty good. But Berry and Green (remember the guy on PP who said he was generational?) look like busts already. All three college arms have looked good and then injured or have just been injured. And Jones has been injured and/or bad. Rough start for that group.
On PP, I said Green appeared to be a generational talent. And he would have been a generational talent but for the one tool he lacked. The other four tools were and are double plus. Jones seemed overrated at the time. I was happy when the Pirates picked TJ. His struggles baffle me.
I thought Polanco was gonna make us all forget about Dave Parker. We can’t hit on them all. Green is proof that if you can’t hit much, the rest of us the tools don’t mean squat.
Johnson’s struggles are odd. His strike zone judgment seems great, but is he too passive? Too advanced for lower level arms but exposed at higher levels? If it’s the latter, we’ll find out soon enough.
I was scared that they would take Berry, I thought he was a product of metal bats that couldn't field. I liked Lee, Termarr and Collier the most of who I thought we had a chance at, God bless Texas for taking Kumar lol. If they would've taken Termarr, the Pirates probably end up with Green or Berry.
I don’t remember much of the scuttlebutt regarding who they’d pick back then (can barely recall last week), but I remember being shocked when Texas took Rocker. That shook up the whole top 10.
Personally, I remember being interested in Lee, but his injury stuff sounded wonky. Wanted no part of Berry cause of the reasons you cited. Green sounded like all hype. Honestly I think I was hoping for Termarr, while hoping one of the top two would drop (unlikely).
MAT on waivers. Seeing if somebody will pick up remaining $ plus could make him eligible for the playoffs for somebody just needing a glove. More to follow?
Was in the kitchen running the last pot of tomatoes, onions, peppers, and garlic through the tomato mill and heard my good buddy Marshal Van Cleef yell “How the hell did that happen?” Booyah!!! 62 in the books and a 4 game series won!!! Raise it!!!
Who likes the Reds? Remember the comments of their former owner Marge Schott. Say what you want about Nutting, but at least we don't have that lunatic as an owner.
Fascinating watching Aroldis the past several weeks.
Maybe it happens with other roles and even positions, but is just less obvious - idk…. But it just seems like ‘leverage reliever’ sometimes produces the wildest performance oscillations. Gone from briefly unhittable, followed by a significant stretch of, frankly, unusable, and now back to unhittable again.
Well, if they're going to ruin their tankathon it might as well be by beating the asshole Reds.
Negron is saying Bart is probably headed to the IL and they're going to call up Davis.
Termarr to Altoona.

I think he's hungry for high velocity hits.
Hopefully the challenge is just what he needs.

Me too lol.

Probably activating Cutch. Or Nick.
Has there been an update on Bart yet?
Saw "hamstring discomfort" but no other info
It's conceivable the MAT move came when they found out they need to bring up a catcher.
The PG points out that they didn't DFA MAT so he's still on the rosters (26-man and 40-man).
Yeah, this may just be a hail mary hoping somebody will take some salary off Nuttin's hands.

🏴☠️X62…….missed the bat flip!
Did not see that coming. Woohoo!!! Cry, Reds fans. Cry!!!!
Awww. What do you have against Reds fans, other than them being Reds fans?
Who likes the Reds? Remember the comments of their former owner Marge Schott. Say what you want about Nutting, but at least we don't have that lunatic as an owner.
One huge reason to prefer Schott over Nuttin -- she's the former owner.
Uhhh, that they're Reds fans.
My mom's side is actually from Cincy and Reds fans, so I guess that too lol
I used to live in Columbus. There really isn't much to like in Ohio, especially the sports teams.
Shades of Grandal’s former excellence. Love that we stole that one back.
Holy cow out of nowhere for Grandal!
Raise it. Nice series win.
Whale oil beef hooked! Grandal with a walk off!
Did not see that coming. Looked good though.
!!!!!!!

Grandal, Williams and MAT up. We have the Reds just where we want them.
How many guys do we have on the bench. Lol.
