Gameday 138: Pirates Look To Get Back On Winning Side Of Things Against Brewers
The Pirates head back home for a three game set against the Milwaukee Brewers
With a chance to complete back-to-back sweeps, Johan Oviedo struggled to build off of his complete game two-hit shutout, as he was unable to make it out of the fourth inning.
Zack Thompson pitched seven solid innings for the Cardinals, and the bullpen was able to hold off another blown save which would have cost them games on back-to-back nights.
Miguel Andujar has homered in two straight games, and has three total now on the season. Liover Peguero (double) and Andrew McCutchen joined him as players with multiple hits on the day.
Shifting back home, the Pirates will play three games at home before heading to Atlanta for a weekend series.
Luis Ortiz will start for Pittsburgh, coming off one of his better outings of the season and will be opposed by Corbin Burnes.
