Gameday 139: Pirates Can Clinch Series With Win Versus Brewers
After come from behind win on Monday, the Pirates are in position to clinch the series against Milwaukee
Luis Ortiz has put together back-to-back strong outings, and the Pirates have now won six of their last seven games. Jack Suwinski and Ke’Bryan Hayes went deep on Monday, with Pittsburgh winning 4-2.
For Hayes, he continues his strong play since coming off the injured list, not only hitting a home run but also a triple as well.
With six innings of two-run baseball, Ortiz picked up a win in his second straight outing and David Bednar earned his 32nd save of the season.
Pittsburgh will be opposed by Brandon Woodruff, who has a 2.70 ERA in 40 innings this season.
