After losing 14-1 yesterday, the Pirates have lost 10 of 11 against the Cubs, and still have two more games against them.
Mitch Keller will try and solve their divisional rival, but they face Cy Young candidate Justin Steele.
Quinn Priester pitched six innings as the ‘bulk’ guy behind Bailey Falter. He allowed four runs on five hits and two walks while striking out two in those six frames.
After having his contract selected, Kyle Nicolas made his major league debut that same night, and things could have certainly gone better. He allowed six runs while only recording one out.
The Pirates are now 70-81, with another loss claiming a losing season.
