Gameday 155: Pirates can clinch series against Reds with win
After winning a thrilling game one, the Pirates look to clinch a series victory
It was easily one of the best games of the season, the Pirates ended up on top after a back-and-forth contest against the Reds. There were six lead changes, and the Pirates hit four home runs along the way.
The Pirates now sit at 73-81 and have technically outlasted the New York Mets in the ‘playoff race’, with the latter getting officially eliminated. While the playoffs may be a bit early, the Pirates seem to be really enjoying the current role of ‘spoiler’.
They will have Bailey Falter on the mound, and will be opposed by Connor Phillips, who will be making his fourth major league start.
First pitch is expected at 6:40 pm ET.
