Gameday 27: Pirates head west for a weekend series against the San Francisco Giants
Quinn Priester gets the start in the series opener against the Giants
After winning the first two games, the Pirates couldn’t get a third to clinch their series against the Milwaukee Brewers, only managing a split.
Mitch Keller wasn’t sharp, allowing four earned runs in five innings pitched, but did strike out seven batters.
Joey Bart hit his third home run of the season, a three-run shot in the bottom of the first inning.
The bullpen struggles continued, especially late in games, surrendering a late lead on a Gary Sanchez two-run home run.
After having his start pushed back, Quinn Priester will make his second appearance of the season for the Pirates. He will face Kyle Harrison for the Giants, with the game expected to start around 10:15 pm ET.

Brandan Bidois has the stuff to be a reliever to watch in the lower levels for the Pirates. I take a lot at what he does well, and at his start to the season in Greensboro.

Go-ahead run on third, nobody out, and the idiot sends up Rowdy. Who naturally strikes out. Shelton is the worst manager I've ever seen.
And Bednar joins the clown show by getting to 1-2 on the leadoff hitter, getting called for a clock violation and going on to walk the guy. Does anybody in the entire organization even know what sport they're playing?
